Dear Sir or Madam,

       Thank you for inviting me to the summer English course in your school. According to the information you have given, I prefer the 6-week course with no part-time job but tour instead. As a senior student in Shanghai, I believe this will be a great opportunity for me to be exposed to British culture and to improve my English.

Given my limited spare time, I have no option but to choose the 6-week course because I should set aside some time to finish my holiday assignments. And also, compared with 25,000-yuan fee of the 8-week course, the cost is more reasonable and affordable for me. The tour included is another reason why the course appeals to me for I’m fond of traveling.

As for the course itself, I sincerely hope that the way of teaching can be diverse. In addition, if we could stay with local families, we would have more chances to communicate with the native people.

Thanks for your invitation again and I would appreciate very much if you could take my suggestions into consideration.

   I would like to take the 8-week course. I prefer it because it involves more hours of study. I’m deeply convinced that learning can’t be done well in a rush. What’s more, I appreciate the chance to do a part-time job in Britain. Not only will it be a unique experience for me, but also it will help me with my English. Considering the reasonable cost, it’s undoubtedly a better choice for me.

   However, I do hope that the course can involve a tour. Britain is a fascinating country with many well-known landscapes. I would regret it if I couldn’t take a tour.

Dear Sir or Madam,

       Thank you for inviting me to the summer English course in your school. Considering the two choices give in the letter, I would like to choose the 6-week course. The favourable aspects are as follows.

       First, since I’m a senior student, I have command much English knowledge, so there’s no need to spend all my time on English study due to the short period time I can stay. Secondly, I’m willing to spare more time to visit the tourist attractions in local areas which appeals to me for a long time. Last but not the least, the fees are reasonable so that my parents can afford it without much burden.

       However, what is not satisfactory is that the 6-week course does not offer part-time job. It is really a pity because I have expected to communicate with the residents and learn more customs and cultures.

       Accordingly, I would appreciate it if a party can be held to let all the members joining the course get together. We can also watch the Olympic Games which are great events of the year. Only by this way can we become more knowledgeable and experienced as well as make friends.
