The most unforgettable activity in my life is the debate which took place in the summer vocation last year. My opponents were from another school and we debated over the topic whether the world EXPO should be more international or cultural. I was for the opinion that it should be more international. All of the participants shifted to deliver their speech and we were all preoccupied in the debate. We all illustrated our points of view clearly by words. Finally, my team won the debate.

Before the debate, my friends and I accessed a lot of information about the EXPO in order to prepare for the debate, through which I learned more about the world EXPO and expanded my knowledge. Thanks to this debate, I became more confident to deliver a speech before a large audience and I gained the skill to put my views into others’ needs. Above all, what made this experience the most unforgettable one was that I established friendship with my opponents after the debate.

This experience made me grow and offered me the chance to set aside text books for a while so that I can live my precious school life to its fullest.

There are so many interesting outdoor activities I have joined in and I’ll share one of the contests which left the deepest impression on me with you.

When I was a senior two student, some of my schoolmates as well as I participated in an international competition on protecting the Yangtze River. To my joy, I was even selected to be the leader of the whole team. With the help of our teacher, we practiced the representation again and again, and tried our best to make all the preparations done well. Although we were confident to have a perfect speech on the stage, we failed to give the whole presentation because of the limitation of the time.

I learned a lesson from this contest. A leader must not only have the duty to prepare well and encourage the team, but she also should consider all the details and the unexpected things previously. The lesson I learned from the contest is memorable and precious.

The experience of working as a volunteer in the “Night of Germany” is lingering in my mind, as if it just happened yesterday.

“ Night of Germany” is a routine activity held in March to welcome the exchange students form Germany. Fortunately, this time, it was my great honor to be chosen as a volunteer. I was very glad.

In the activity, as a speaker, I introduced the history of China and our school in brief to them at first. They seemed to be absorbed in it. Next, my classmates and I performed a German song which had been prepared for a long time. To may surprise, they were so excited that they all joined us, dancing and singing. Finally, I as a guide, went to Yu Garden with them. With my help, they bought some postcards and presents in a low price but high quality. They had a wonderful time.

This is the first time that I have communicated with them for such a long time. Through the communication, I broaden my horizon. So do the German friends, I guess. What’s more, I think, with my help, I’ve provided them with lots of convience. They may be deeply impressed by out Chinese’s kindness and hospitality.

I’ll never forget such a meaningful and unforgettable experience.

The five-day study trip to Nanjing, which took place two years ago, providing me with a perfect combination of the pleasure of friendship, teamwork and sightseeing, has undoubtedly left the deepest impression on me, glittering in my memory just like gold.

We enjoyed our friendship, as we offered a helping hand when someone was worn out, as we bought pills and passed hot water to the sick, as we comforted each other sincerely when being home-sick, as we backed on each other and cheered everyone up when encountering difficulties, friendship was the most precious gift.

We enjoyed the marvelous scenery and wonderful local snack in Nanjing Ancient walls, the Confucious Avenue and Jiming temple, both traditional and modernized, were truly appeal to us, as well as delicious food.

We enjoyed out team work. We planned the trip a week or two earlier, with out project being aimed to grasp a further understanding of the protection of ancient buildings. We visited Nanjing University and interviewed several professors, who showed us around the museum . Every one of us endeavored to do our part, and we did out best.

The friendship, the scenery and the team work made up for the great pleasure, beyond description of the trip to Nanjing. No wonder it makes me smile every time I think about it.
