Research Fellow Mengsha Released the Results of EAT in Xuhui District
On Feb.15th, the research fellow Mengsha released the research results of EAT conducted in Xuhui District last semester in the presence of the whole Grade 3 English teachers of the district in Room 201in Xuhui Institute of Education.
Based on substantial and precise data as well as thorough analysis, the research truly mirrored the achievement levels of students in the first round of revision and reflected the flaws existing in the teaching practice at the previous stage, which has laid a good foundation for the blueprint of the future revision.
Owing to the commitment of the research fellow to the research work, hearing what teacher Meng concisely analyzed, the teachers present got real clarity about what they expected to improve and what challenges were waiting for them.
“With the college Entrance Examination looming ahead, the teaching tasks become more urgent than ever before. In the future most teachers should attach more importance to the students’ translation levels, word spellings and other fundamental skills.” Teacher Meng addressed. She hoped that each school could relate the research results to her own teaching reality and make a feasible and effective strategy for this new semester.
